Then try learning to do the right thing first time.
Try learning to be honest, straightforward, and transparent.
Try removing all of the "blocks" that come as standard with police.
Try recruiting people of a higher standard,
and training them to uphold the very highest integrity.
Try learning how to lead and inspire,
instead of resorting so often to ignorance and crude force.
Try removing your fortress mentality
by analysing how on earth you allowed yourselves
to get there in the first place.
Try learning to learn from your mistakes,
instead of instinctively covering them up.
It is better to make a decision,
be wrong,
and learn,
than make no decision,
be "right",
and learn nothing.
Try learning that "what you put out, comes back!",
so treat everyone with patience and tolerance.
People respond to how they are treated,
and government in general is so far up it's own backside,
all it can see is it's own waste products -
so try seeking a better vantage point.
The people you encounter are the product of your system -
take responsibility for that.
If their behaviour sucks,
then remember your system trained them from the cradle.
And remember that there are never bad soldiers,
only bad officers.
One afternoon, on a deserted footpath,
I encountered 12-14 youths aged 15 or 16,
who I later learned had mugged at least four people that day.
Why was I not mugged?
Why was I able to engage them in conversation,
and answer some of their questions about life?
Because I had just done two hours chi gung exercise,
and I was what I call "walking tall" -
I was impregnable - and they knew it.
When you are fearless, no-one can touch you.
We have a broken society
because government and police have yet to learn
that "Only Fear Attacks!"
So, why do Police attack so often,
and so quickly?
It took me years to realise
that the only true defence is defencelessness.
Police are still in the dark ages,
and this society suffers for it.
This is what I wrote in Voting with My Body:-
My desire right from the beginning
was to see an improvement in the standards of government,
and I remain faithful to that concept.
